Teen track & field (ages 13 to 17) moves athletes into event specialization with speed development, time trials, and power and plyometric training.

  • Dynamic stretch, sprint drills, and mobility
  • Hip activation and progressive build-ups

Event-Group Stations (Rotating)
  • Sprints: block starts, drive phase, top-end mechanics
  • Distance: pacing, tempo runs, stride efficiency
  • Jumps: approach run, board accuracy, flop/scissor basics
  • Throws: shot-put glide and discus wind footwork
1:45 to 2:30
Speed Development
  • Flying sprints and acceleration ladders
  • Sprint drills: wickets, dribble runs
2:30 to 3:00
Lunch & Meet IQ
  • Heat seeding, false-start rules, and race plans
  • Building an individual event schedule
3:00 to 4:15
Event Practice & Time Trials
  • Specialized event reps with coach feedback
  • Timed and measured trials for benchmarking
4:15 to 5:15
Athletic Training, Power & Plyometrics
  • Bounding, hurdle hops, and med-ball throws
  • Eccentric strength for jump and sprint power

Cool-Down & Performance Review
  • Mobility, static stretch, and PR review
3-Day Camp

Track & Field 3-Day Camp

The 3-day camp moves athletes from clean mechanics to event specialization, finishing with an intra-camp meet where every athlete competes and chases a personal record.

Day 1
Mechanics & Event Intro
  • Testing & Benchmarks, 40-yd dash, standing long jump, and overhead throw recorded by Ashlee
  • Mechanics & Event Sampling, Sprint, jump, and throw fundamentals, athletes sample every group
  • Lunch + Athletic Training, Fueling, movement quality, and activation
Day 2
Event Specialization & Training
  • Specialization Blocks, Athletes select 2 primary events with technical coaching and repeated trials
  • Athletic Training, Power, Plyometrics and sprint-power circuit
Day 3
Meet Day & Celebration
  • Meet Warm-Up & Seeding, Full warm-up routine and heat assignments
  • Intra-Camp Meet, Sprints, distance, jumps, and throws, fully officiated
  • Relay Finals, Team baton relays with families invited
  • Awards Ceremony, Event winners, Most Improved, Camp MVP, certificates for all
Assessment

Track & Field Benchmarks

Each athlete is timed and measured at the start and end of camp, then receives a personal performance card.

Sprint Markers

10-yard, 40-yard, and 100m times recorded at the start and end of camp.

Measured

Jump & Throw

Standing long jump, approach jump, and event-specific throw distance tracked per athlete.
